Message from the President
Making Home Health Work for You!

In this new millennium, the Home Health Care industry is projected to experience tremendous growth as a result of the ongoing increase in the number of elderly who will live longer. All Americans will face the challenge of caring for this larger, older and potentially sicker senior population composed of our grandparents, parents, brothers, and sisters. For working Americans, the challenges will be not only financing their care through today’s main payers, such as Medicare and Medicaid, but also in providing more and more direct support as their family caregivers.

More than ever, homebound elders and their families are seeking reliable, proven local providers to deliver in-home assistance for themselves and family members who are not fully recovered when leaving the hospital or nursing home after a shorter stay. More and more health insurance plans are seeking to bring medical costs under control through using home healthcare for acute, short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitative therapy care.

Once more, all payers are seeing that when properly used, home healthcare can allow patients with long-term care needs to remain independent longer and avoid institutional care that is less preferred and more costly. The expansion of coverage for home healthcare as opposed to nursing home care under many long-term care policies demonstrates this recognition.

The Aspen Group is an Idaho owned and operated organization founded on the principles of continuous quality improvement and exceptional customer service. The Aspen Group provides needed assistance to patients, caregivers and our many referral sources by listening to and responding to their different and individual home healthcare needs.
