8/11/2009
Brownsville, TX
By demonstrating compliance with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization’s national standards for health care quality and safety, Greater Valley Hospice Alliance has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval.
"Greater Valley Hospice sought to achieve accreditation because we want to demonstrate our commitment to our patients’ safety and quality care,” says Derek Collette, MBA, The Aspen Group's Regional Vice-President. "We view obtaining our Joint Commission accreditation as another step in achieving and maintaining excellence.”
In becoming accredited, Greater Valley Hospice was evaluated against a set of national standards by a Joint Commission team of surveyors experienced in the delivery of home care services. Achieving accreditation demonstrates Greater Valley Hospice's commitment to providing high quality and safe care to its patients.
Accreditation is awarded for a three-year period ending in July 2012.
